Alumni News

Three Leadership Tampa Bay graduates were mentioned in a May 16th column by Tampa Tribune's Tom Jackson, on the occasion of a Dewey Mitchell charity roast. Dewey Mitchell (LTB '96) was roasted by business partner Allen Crumbley (LTB '97) and judo pal Tom Masterson (LTB '98). The column, titled "We Know He's Adorable, But, C'mon Already," can be viewed here:

Dewey gave an excellent overview of Pasco County during a class visit in February, and Allen and Tom both serve on the LTB Board of Directors. The roast was to raise money for the Gulfside Regional Hospice.

LTB '04 Class and the Stanley Cup

During the LTB '04 program day on Thursday, May 6th, while enjoying a nice lunch at Newks across from the St. Pete Times Forum, the Leadership Tampa Bay Class of 2004 experienced a championship moment as the Stanley Cup was brought in for a news segment. The class was featured prominently on Fox 13 News that night. And, of course, they brought luck to the Bolts in their quest for the cup!

LTB Friend Takes Lead Role at Marine Corps University Foundation

Gen. Tom Draude, USMC (Ret.), who has been a wonderful speaker for many LTB classes over the years, has been selected to succeed MajGen. Don Gardner as CEO of the Marine Corps University Foundation in Quantico, Va. He and his wife Sandi will leave Florida this summer and buy a home in northern Virginia. We wish him good luck in his new endeavor.
