A Message From the Immediate Past President
Another Leadership Tampa Bay program year comes to an end this summer, and it is my pleasure to report that our organization is as strong and vibrant as ever. The LTB Class of 2004 was the largest class in 12 years. We've received an increasing number of applications over the last three years, and we've already received applications for next year's class-earlier than we've ever received them. Thanks to our loyal alumni, a solid board of directors, a spirited class and the best program director around, Leadership Tampa Bay continues providing the best quality programs that foster regional progress.
The gavel now goes to two fine individuals who will take our program to new heights. My LTB classmate, Tom Masterson (LTB '98), will share the presidential duties with Doug Williamson (LTB '91). Please continue giving them your support (and your recruits).
I want to share with you some comments written by 2004 LTB class members. I hope it causes you to consider turning someone on to Leadership Tampa Bay:
"Great first class! Great Experience! I look forward to the friendships I have developed."
"It was a wonderful experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity."
"This was an excellent program. The Board and selection committee brought together a great group of people. Very different yet all striving to be excellent leaders in Tampa Bay."
"The programs were designed to and succeeded at providing us an opportunity to better understand what our region has to offer, the issues our region faces, and the needs that exist for us to help address."
And finally, there is this one word assessment of LTB: "Awesome!!!"
Help us perpetuate their spirit and our LTB purpose. Visit www.leadershiptampabay.com and email an application for next year's class to someone you feel will appreciate this wonderful opportunity.
My sincere thanks to the LTB Board of Directors, and especially our Leadership program director, Alice Bessette, to all our loyal alumni, and to all the great members of the LTB Class of '04, for a fabulous year in your service and friendship!
--Charlie Reese (LTB '98)

Volunteer Opportunity
Sue Hanlon, (LTB '04), is spearheading a back-to-school shopping excursion for migrant children on July 17th. She convinced her class (which already has shown such wonderful generosity in donating to non-profits and charities in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties) to chaperone or donate toward a migrant child's outfit. Contact Sue at s.hanlon2@verizon.net if you would like to help in any way.
